Winter Weather Procedures

Along with colder temperatures, Winter weather can bring a chance of dangerous road conditions.

Crandall ISD is committed to the safety of all students and staff and monitors potential weather threats constantly.

In the event of a bad weather emergency, Crandall ISD will take the following steps to communicate any delays, cancellations or closures to families:

  1. Messaging will be communicated via our SchoolMessenger communication system via phone call, text, and/or email.
  2. Updates on approved district social media sites and website
  3. Local News Stations will be notified.

We try our best to be available to our community and to have answers ready in advance of questions.  We make weather determined calls as early as we possibly can.

Thanks for your patience and for being a part of our #PirateCommUNITY

Crandall ISD will remain a 4A district for the next two years.

The University Interscholastic League (UIL) has released its cut off numbers for the 2018-2020 Reclassification and Realignment cycle.

Crandall ISD will remain a 4A district for the next two years.  UIL classifies a 4A high school as one with a student population between 505 students and 1149 students.  Crandall High School made the 4A cutoff by 35 students.  CISD submitted our High School student population as 1114 students at the time of submission.

We are delighted to remain a 4A district for the next two years and look forward to our new District schedule in February!

Change to basketball schedule

Due to football playoffs, Wills Point will be unable to attend our regularly scheduled boys basketball games at Crandall HS Monday morning Nov. 20, therefore we will not play any boys basketball games on Monday. We have decided to re-schedule those boys games for Wednesday morning Nov. 22nd at Crandall HS. There will be no freshman game. JV boys vs. Wills Point will begin at 10am Wednesday. The Varsity game vs. Wills Point will follow the JV game at 11:15am. Both games will be in the Crandall HS main gym. Revised practice times for the week will be emailed to players and parents via skyward.
