The City of Crandall notified CISD early this morning of a water line break that impacts all schools. All CISD schools are closed today (9/20/17) for repairs.
Crandall ISD is proud to share that we will be making the CommUNITY tailgate an annual event. Due to the success of last year’s event, our second annual CommUNITY tailgate will take place on Senior Night, November 3, 2017, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Just like last year, we will have free admission, free baked potatoes with all the fixings, and representation from different groups in the district, as well as CommUNITY organizations.
Save the date – our annual tailgate is sure to be fun for the whole family!
Interested in having some representation at our tailgate for your organization? Contact the Public Relations Director, Erin McCann, at firstname.lastname@example.org
Local Combine resident, an avid supporter of the Crandall ISD chapter of the FFA, Bill Harrell, was gifted an FFA jacket last month for his 80th birthday, 66 years after being active in his own FFA chapter in High School.
Bill was never able to purchase his own FFA jacket while in school in Wolfe City, Texas, but he became a patron of the FFA in adulthood and has actively supported the Crandall chapter. Bill’s son Rick (a Crandall ISD school board member) and his three grandsons, all proudly wear FFA jackets that they have due to Bill’s generosity and patronage.
The Dallas affiliate of NBC got a hold of this story after it went viral. You can check out the original story here: Bill Harrell, FFA.
NBC ran Bill’s story as part of their “Texas Connects Us,” feature on Monday, September 18, 2017. We are proud of Bill, his family’s contributions to our community, and the incredible FFA program that we have, here in Crandall ISD

The Crandall Pirates had a successful Friday Night game at Pirate Stadium on September 15, 2017.
The Pirates started the night off by honoring the local Fire Departments of Crandall and Combine and presenting both departments with a check from the T-Shirt fundraiser that CISD created for this game.
The Pirates played well versus Ferris High School and took home a win with a final score of 41-3. Pictures are below, and district games begin next week.

This morning, September 15, 2017, Crandall ISD was honored to formally dedicate and cut the ribbon for our 4th elementary school, Hollis T. Dietz Elementary.
Special thanks to Dr. Jolly, the School Board, and our honored guests, the Dietz family. We were honored to have present at our ceremony representatives from WRA Architects, Justice of the Peace Johnny Adams, Commissioner Jakie Allen, and representatives from the Huffines Communities. Thank you all for being a part of our day.
Crandall ISD is honored to be able to name a school after a man who contributed so much to Crandall Independent School District.
