Operation Crandall CommUNITY Cares kicks off in one hour.

Crandall ISD administration is getting competitive!  Teams will be at 106 S. Main in two-hour shifts for Operation Crandall CommUNITY cares to collect diapers, water, and formula for families displaced from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.

The drop center is open:

Thursday, August 31 – 2 – 6 p.m.

Friday, September 1 – 2 – 6 p.m.

Saturday, September 2 – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Let’s work together as the #PirateCommUNITY to make this a great outreach effort.  Be prepared to see social media posts as the teams working the shifts compete to see who can collect the most donations!

The storefront opens in one hour.  See you there!

Update to Operation Crandall CommUNITY cares

We have an update on Operation Crandall CommUNITY cares:

We are working in partnership with the City of Crandall, and have arranged a drop location downtown, at 106 S. Main Street. This location will be open for donations of water, diapers, and formula Thursday and Friday from 2-6 p.m. and 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday.

This drop location downtown is in addition to our campus drop locations during the week.

Operation Crandall CommUNITY cares

Our #PirateCommUNITY will be coming together to provide aid to those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.  This relief effort is an incredible opportunity to both give back to those in need and to continue to teach our children how to help those that are less fortunate.

We will be collecting diapers, water, and formula at each of our campuses through Friday afternoon.  Crandall ISD will deliver these items to Dallas-area shelters that are currently serving those who have been displaced by the storm.

Thank you for your generosity, for being a valued part of our #PirateCommUNITY and for sharing your Pirate spirit.

Fueled by Fire

September 15, 2017’s Varsity home football game against Ferris will be Firefighter appreciation night in Crandall ISD.

Much like our Back the Blue fundraiser in 2016, the Fueled by Fire fundraiser will give all profits to the Crandall and Combine Fire Departments.  Firefighters in uniform, or with a valid station ID, will not be charged admission into the football game.  Members of the Combine and Crandall FD will be present on the field for the coin toss and the run onto the field, but Firefighters from any department will be honored.

We value our first responders in our #PirateCommUNITY.

If you are interested in purchasing a T-Shirt, forms and money ($10/shirt) are due by Tuesday, September 5, 2017, to your campus secretary, or to Central Office.  Please make checks payable to Crandall Athletic Booster Club (CABC).

Upcoming Town Hall Meeting

Crandall ISD will host their first Town Hall meeting for the 2017-2018 school year on September 12, 2017, at 6:30 p.m.

This meeting will take place at the Raynes building, 400 W. Lewis St, Crandall, Texas and will provide CISD families an opportunity to hear directly from Dr. Jolly regarding bond construction updates, general CISD information, and plans for the 2017-2018 school year.

We look forward to connecting with our #PirateCommUNITY.

Light refreshments will be provided.  For planning purposes, please RSVP to Erin McCann, the Public Relations Director.

New Blog, New Podcast!

We are trying something new this year in Crandall ISD.  In an age where media moves fast, we want you, our communities within CISD, to have a central place where you can go for trusted news and celebrations within our district.  Thus, Crandall Voices was born.

Crandall Voices will be our central newsroom for CISD and will focus on bringing you the stories you want to hear and need to know in all forms, written, visual and audio.

On that note; Crandall ISD is incredibly excited to launch a podcast channel this year on SoundCloud.com

We at Crandall are committed to finding new ways and new mediums in which to connect with our diverse communities.  We hope you’ll subscribe to our podcast channel.  Postings will be on an irregular basis – as timely topics come up in the district, and we will always cross promote on our website and on social media.

Our first podcast is a sit-down with Dr. Robert Jolly, Superintendent of Schools, for an update on construction from our successful Bond campaign in May, as well as a brief reminder of how schools are funded.

There will be a follow-up Town Hall on September 12, 2017, at 6:30 in the Raynes Board room with more information about this 5th Elementary School, Bond funds, and general 2017-2018 school year information.  Please RSVP to Public Relations Director, Erin McCann, if you’d like to come.
